Modern Villas: Family residence using wood and exposed masonry

Our brief was to build a new dwelling with its own individual character, of a difficult-to-classify style, on a low budget. A house in natural surroundings that is influenced by the location. The proportions of the tall, modern flat roof building are in keeping with the site and the neighbouring properties. Larch wood on the outside and beech wood on the inside in contrast with white concrete masonry. Large expanses of glass and an open gallery provide a wonderful sense of spaciousness.
